Christmas in Delray Beach, Florida is a month-long holiday celebration with festivities happening almost every single night -- all in celebration of the Christmas Holiday Season and the Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree in Delray Beach, Florida!

The Christmas celebrations begin with the lighting of the 100-Foot Christmas Tree which usually takes place the end of November or the beginning of December every single year, ever since 1992.

Soon after the Christmas tree is lit, our downtown comes alive with the magic of Christmas in Delray Beach, Florida!

We have a very festive holiday calendar of events for the entire month of December! The celebration and festivities end on January 1st of the following year.

Lighting of the Menorah is at Sundown

What: Lighting of the Menorah

Location:
Outdoors at Old School Square

Cost:
Free!

More Information: The beginning of Hanukkah begins with the first candle lighting on the Menorah! Everyone is invited to the Menorah Lighting Ceremony in downtown Delray!

The Hanukkah Ceremonial Lighting takes place on the front lawn of Old School Square located at 51 North Swinton Avenue.


What: Come ride a real old-fashioned holiday carousel. Friendly for all ages!

Location:
Outdoors at Old School Square

Cost:
$3 per ride or 2 rides for $5

More Information: The holiday carousel usually opens after Thanksgiving and runs through the entire month of December, ending on January 1st.


Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree
Lighting Ceremony

Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Old School Square.

  • 5 - 7 PM: School Performances on Main Stage
  • 7 PM: Santa arrives to light the tree
  • 7:15 PM: Santa lights the famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree
  • 7:30 - 9 PM: Local School Performances on Main State
  • Tour the Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree until 10 PM
  • Suggested donation of $1.00
  • Be sure to get your "I toured the 100-Foot Christmas Tree" sticker!
  • Visit Santa from 7:30 - 10 PM
  • Expected 40,000 in attendance. Come early!

Take a tour inside the 100-Foot Christmas Tree and see the animated displays representing historic buildings in Delray Beach.

These replicated historic buildings are filled with joyful, animated features like children caroling, penguins hard at work, reindeer and elves preparing for the holidays, and there's even a train display!

  • Usually opens first week of December, closing January 1st.
  • Tour is open 10 AM - 9 PM every day (Note: Tree opens at 1 PM on Christmas Day and New Year's Day)
  • Cost: $1 (suggested) donation upon entering tree
  • Be sure to get your "I toured the famous 100-foot Christmas tree" sticker to proudly wear!
  • Wheelchair-friendly

What: Come cruise the intracoastal with Santa on the Cookie Cruise aboard Delray Yacht Cruises!

Location:
  Delray Yacht Cruises on the Intracoastal & Atlantic Avenue

Cost:
$20 - Children under 2 free.

Sailing Time: 10:30 AM to Noon

More Information: Reservations are required and tickets must be purchased prior to the event.


Puttn Around Miniature Golf at the Tree

Location: On the west side of Old School Square

Cost:
$3 for 6 holes of mini golf

Hours: Monday-Friday, 5-9 pm; Saturday & Sunday, 1-9 pm; extended hours during school break and select events.


Ice Skating Rink
Have A Whirl Of A Time!
Ice Skating at Old School Square

Bring the family and have a whirl-of-fun on the ice at the simulated ice skating rink at Old School Square.

  • Usually opens first week of December, end January 1st.
  • Weekdays: 5-9 PM
  • Weekends and school holidays: 1-9 PM
  • Tickets to skate are $7.00 for 45-minutes
  • Skaters must wear socks with skate rentals
  • Purchase tickets at the Holiday Gift Shoppe


Annual Holiday Boat Parade
Boynton Beach & Delray Beach Parade
Starts at 5:30 in Boynton

What: Boynton Beach & Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade

More Information: Christmas Holiday Boat Parade on the intracoastal. Enjoy watching approximately 60 festively, brightly-lit and decorated boats leave Boynton Beach Inlet at 5:30 PM and travel south on the Intracoastal Waterway to C-15 Canal in Delray Beach. There are many places to watch Holiday Boat Parade, and Veteran's Park in Delray is one them!

Cost: Free!


Christmas Holiday Parade

The Christmas Holiday Parade in Delray Beach is presented by Delray Beach Parks and Recreation.

The parade begins at Venetian Drive at 6 PM, heads west on Atlantic to the Courthouse.

Delray's First Night New Year's Eve Celebration is 100% family-friendly, so bring the entire family! (Well, except for the dog...leave the pooches at home.)

Come downtown and enjoy visual and performing arts in non-alcoholic venues at various locations in downtown Delray Beach.
