March 9-11, 2012: Delray Beach Twilight Festival. It's an event where Mardi Gras meets Tour de France in downtown Delray! Professional and amateur cycling races whizzing through beautiful downtown Delray Beach alongside an exciting health and lifestyle festival. Unlike ‘stage races,’ such as the Tour de France, which occur over great distances, this is a sprint-style race, with a short, 1 kilometer course that is lapped over, and over and over again, while spectators line the streets to watch for an hour and a half. Join Gumbo Limbo and visit over 30 environmentally friendly exhibitors, attend a performance by a local children’s theatre, and watch as the resident sea turtles, fish, and marine life get a snack! There will be plenty of fun for all ages, from arts, crafts, and games, to educational talks and guided walks through the hammock. PARKING: Please park in Spanish River Park located on Ocean Blvd 1½ miles north of Gumbo Limbo (there will be no parking at Gumbo Limbo). Enter through the south gates, and ride the free shuttle bus to the festival. 10 AM - 4 PM. Free parking.
This event is open to all ages, and an adult must accompany children and teens at all times. There is a suggested entrance donation of $5 per person. Don’t forget to enter our free prize drawing!

June 5, 2012: The Flagler Museum in Palm Beach will be open free of charge in honor of the Museum's founder, and Henry Flagler's granddaughter, Jean Flagler Matthews. Founder's Day allows visitors free access to this National Historic Landmark. Along with the Museum's vast collection there are special exhibits on Florida history and Henry Flagler's impact in developing Florida's East coast while establishing tourism and agriculture as the backbone of the state's economy.
