When:  February 2, 2013

What:  All American Tailgate Party

More Information: The Greater Delray Beach Chamber Of Commerce Men’s Group presents the 7th Annual All-American Tailgate Party fundraiser benefiting the Achievement Center for Children and Families to be held on February 2, 2013 at Old School Square.

There will be lots of ballpark food, drink and lots of great autographed memorabilia for auction and fantastic doorprizes and giveaways…not to mention entertainment appropriate for the entire family, and a few surprises from the Miami Dolphins!

And best of all, the money we raise will benefit the the Achievement Center for Children and Families. We’re swinging for the fences and are shooting for $50,000 this year – please help us make a difference for the kids at the center and our community!

Location:  Delray Beach Center for the Arts (Old School Square)

Time: 2 – 8 PM

Cost:    Adults 21 & up: $25 per ticket,  youth (Ages 13 to 20) $10 per ticket, children (Ages 12 and under) free

Admission includes free parking (before 5 pm), lots of ballpark food, craft beers, live entertainment and fantastic door prizes and giveaways…not to mention a Family Fun Zone with entertainment for the entire family.

More Information: The Delray Green Market is an open-air farmer's market in downtown Delray. It's like a Farm-to-Fork-type of market. You'll find fresh made cider donuts, fresh-off-the-vine produce, just-picked citrus and fragrant baked goods, organic beef, to fresh cut flowers, blooming plants and unique taste treats. There's even dancing in the street with some live music.

What: The 14th Annual Delray Beach Garlic Fest.  A gourmet food and entertainment event featuring national act entertainment, 200 exhibitors, Gourmet Alley, Garlic Chef Competition, large children's area and full liquor bars.

More Information:  The event is dedicated to exploring the numerous health and culinary possibilities of garlic. Countless recipes and unique dishes have been created by professional chefs in the Garlic Chef cooking competition and by our Gourmet Alley concessionaires.

Try food items like Garlic Ice Cream, Argentinean Garlic BBQ and Garlic Fest crab cakes.

The Garlic Fest has been featured on the Food Network and in countless national newspapers and magazines. Now in its 14th year, the Delray Beach Garlic Fest has become an institution in Palm Beach County and is affectionately named “The Best Stinkin’ Party in Town.”

Artists in the Park

What: Delray Art League Show presents Artists in the Park.

Location: Shows rotate between Veteran's Park and Delray Beach Center for the Arts at Old School Square.

History, Food & Foliage Trolley Tour
With Spady Museum

When: February 13, 2013 at 10 AM (Tour is every 2nd Saturday of the month. *This month is an exception.)

What: History, Food & Foliage Trolley Tour (Previously known as Spady Museum’s Ride & Remember Trolley Tour).

Location: Departure location is from the Spady Museum, 170 NW 5th Avenue Delray Beach, FL 33444. Departure Time is 10 AM. Parking is available.

Cost: $20 per person.

More Information: Riders will tour the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, Old School Square and select historic and garden sites for a closer look at the fascinating history of Delray Beach.

The museum’s updated History, Food & Foliage Trolley Tour includes stops at some of Delray's most popular restaurants and beautiful nature-oriented attractions that are housed in historical buildings.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. There is lots of walking and getting on and off the trolley. For those who wish not to participate in the walking, you are welcome to remain on the trolley.

ITC Tennis Championships
February 22 - March 2, 2013

Delray Beach Tennis Center is the host of the International Tennis Championships ATP World Tour and ATP Champions.  2013 marks the 21st anniversary of International Tennis Championships (ITC)

This event brings the tennis legends of high-caliber professional tennis to Delray Beach! Enjoy more than a week of matches, special events and parties along the iconic Atlantic Avenue District of Delray Beach.

Celebrate two outstanding events at one location! The ATP Champions Tour Event and ATP World Tour Event at Delray Beach Tennis Center.

Kidz Day
February 23, 2013

When:  February 23, 2013 – starting at 10:30 AM

What:  USTA Kidz Day at ITC

More Information:  Join Delray Beach ITC for a fun-filled day of tennis activities – FREE for kids 12 & under. On-court activities will include 78′, 60′, and 36′ court round-robin matches utilizing red, orange, green dot and yellow balls as well as tennis games and activities.  Off-court activities will include arts & crafts, face painting, door prizes, music and more! Registration information will be available for USTA Jr. Membership and our spring season of USTA Jr. Team Tennis in Palm Beach County during this event. Event starts at 10:30am, gates open at 10:00am.

Event is FREE, but you MUST RSVP your group!   To RSVP, purchase additional adult tickets or to volunteer for USTA Kidz Day, please contact Janet Sprague, Event & Volunteer Coordinator at  561-385-7399.

Following USTA Kidz Day fun, all participants may attend the day’s ATP Champions Tour Matches on Stadium Court!

Taste History Culinary Tours of...
Historic Delray Beach,
Boynton Beach, and Beyond

Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Delray Beach, Boynton Beach,  Lake Worth & Lantana, all located in Palm Beach County.

The Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Palm Beach County, Florida offers a fun cultural experience with food tastings.

This historic, cultural culinary excursion known as The Taste History Culinary Tours consists of a narrated bus ride & walking tour of historic districts with specific visits to restaurants located in historic buildings and historic districts.

Learn Florida history, local facts, and experience food culture by sampling delicious food bites as you learn. At least two restaurants are visited per tour and are visited alternately on a rotating schedule so you always experience something different. 

Tours operate all year around, with tours being offered three times a month. The tours are 3-4 hours long and include a combination of narrated bus riding and walking through historic areas.

Wear comfortable shoes. There are two different culinary tours to choose from.

  • The Lake Worth & Lantana Taste History Culinary tour is the 2nd Saturday of every month.
  • The Delray Beach and Boynton Beach Taste History Culinary Tour is the 3rd & 4th Saturday of every month.

Boarding Location: Boynton Beach Mall (outside of mall at Macy's-East Entrance). 801 N. Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL. There is plenty of free parking at the mall.

Price: $40 per person for adults, senior citizens and children age 18 and over. Free for children under age 18.

Time:  Tours begins at 11 AM. (Arrive by 10:45 AM to board bus.)
